The Dad Brief is educational content, not medical advice. Our briefs summarise published research and widely accepted clinical guidance to help you understand pregnancy, birth and early parenthood — they are general information, not a diagnosis, treatment or recommendation for your specific situation.
- Always follow the advice of your midwife, gynaecologist, paediatrician or other qualified professionals. If the app and your midwife disagree, your midwife wins. Every time.
- For anything urgent — reduced fetal movement, bleeding, severe symptoms, a baby who seems unwell, thoughts of harming yourself or others — contact your maternity ward, doctor or the emergency services (144 in Switzerland) immediately. Never wait for tomorrow's brief.
- Content reflects sources current at the time of writing and is reviewed periodically; medical guidance evolves, and administrative details (insurance, allowances, leave) vary by canton and change over time.
Privacy
Designed to know almost nothing about you:
- Your due date, focus choices, child number, reading history and streak live only on your device (browser local storage). They are never transmitted to us. Deleting the app/site data deletes them.
- No account is required to read your daily brief during the free period.
- "Somewhere else" country requests: if you pick "Somewhere else" and type your country, that country name (nothing else — no identifier, no profile) is sent to us as an anonymous tally so we know which country editions to build next.
- Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store card details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to the payment transaction.
- Analytics: we use privacy-friendly, cookie-less aggregate analytics (page views, no personal profiles, no cross-site tracking, no ad networks).

Terms of service
- The deal: 30 days free from your first use; afterwards, continued access is a subscription of $10 per month (auto-renewing, cancellable any time with effect at the period's end). The price is shown in the currency of the region you selected: CHF in Switzerland, GBP in the United Kingdom, EUR across the euro-area editions, USD in the United States and everywhere else.
- Refunds: 30-day no-questions refund on any purchase — email us.
- Content: briefs are copyrighted; personal use only. Quotes we publish from testimonials remain your words, used with your consent.
- Liability: to the extent permitted by Swiss law, we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of the app's educational content (see the medical disclaimer above).
